Our commitment: We have made a good-faith effort to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We view accessibility as an ongoing effort and welcome feedback from users who encounter barriers.
Our Goal
Deborah Louzecky Real Estate (debrealtor.com) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice input software, or other assistive technologies.
Measures We Have Taken
To support accessibility, we have incorporated the following features into this website:
- All pages include a "Skip to main content" link at the top, allowing keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks are used throughout (main, nav, header, footer, section, article) to help screen reader users navigate efficiently
- All form fields have properly associated labels using
forandidattributes - Required form fields are marked with both visual indicators and
aria-required="true" - Interactive tab components use ARIA roles (
tablist, tab, tabpanel) andaria-selectedstate - Decorative images and icons are marked with
aria-hidden="true"so screen readers skip them - Meaningful images include descriptive
alttext - All pages include a visible keyboard focus indicator for interactive elements
- Text color contrast meets or targets the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text
- The site respects the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query — animations are disabled for users who have enabled this setting - Navigation menus are accessible via keyboard on both desktop and mobile
- Links that open in a new tab include
aria-labelnotification - Page language is declared in the
langattribute on every page
Known Limitations
While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, we acknowledge the following known limitations:
- Third-party content and embeds (such as Google Maps or future IDX property search tools) may not fully conform to accessibility standards. We have no control over the accessibility of third-party services.
- This site is maintained by a small independent broker. We do not have a dedicated accessibility team and rely on best-effort implementation and user feedback.
- Some complex interactive components may benefit from further testing with assistive technologies. We welcome reports of any issues encountered.
